This website used to be just about how to build a website that would work well. We have now expanded it to cover all the things we are doing. Our various very popular episode guides (see listings on the left), the novel we are currently writing and hoping to bring critical readers to, a blog on the process we are going through writing the novel, and also the original material which is now very out of date but which still could give someone an idea of basically what a website needs to do to be found well.
Both our "West Wing Continuity Guide" site (when the show was on) and currently the "House MD Guide" site have reached the top 100,000 most popular sites (according to Alexa) among the estimated almost two hundred million on the web. Obviously, you need to make a site with information people are looking for to do this and it takes a lot of work to keep up with all the new information people do look for. We started a politics guide site back in 2004 and just couldn't keep up.
